This week I will be spending it with other inbound students from around the world. They are all fun to hang around with. While I am here with these other students we will be learning portuguese and seeing the Brazilian culture. I already feel partly at home here and I know once I become fluent in portuguese this year will go by quick and will be one of the best times of my life. A few of the big differences between the U.S and Brazil teenage life is school in Brazil its only in the morning and a few afternoon classes so you have a lot more free time. I dont believe any of my friends have jobs and as an exchange student everyone wants you to be everywhere. You also cant drive until you are 18 and you can also drink at 18 so thats when you become an adult. So in some way you gain responablity and in other ways you lose some.
I now know that Im not looking forward to the Brazilian summer which is going to be every hot when right now its winter and its in the 70´s or 80´s. There are always something to do around here for me so I cant wait to go experince everything.

Hi Josh,
This is Rob Howard - last year's President of the Hudson Daybreak Rotary club. I hope you have great experience. It sounds like you're getting along better compared to the first message. Enjoy your trip. You are gaining a great experience that will be life changing!
Post some pictures when you can.
